OG Kush is brought to us in true OG form by the amazing Jesse Hernandez!  Hernandez’s art combines traditional indigenous styles and themes with an urban street sensibility. His work utilizes bold line work, sharp colors, and dynamic imagery across many different mediums, most widely known for his custom painted toys, illustration, and canvas work. His style also draws upon his animation background. Hernandez worked full time for The Filipino Channel as Art Director/Co-Creator of the cartoon series “The Nutshack”, before moving on to create freelance artwork through his company, Immortal Studios and collaborate with all the big studios.

Jesse's artwork has been featured in many books and magazines such as Maxim, YRB, Giant Robot, Clutter, Playtimes, Dot Dot Dash, Great new Characters, Flux, and has participated in art shows all around the world. He currently has toys out with Kaching Brands, and Toyqube, and future releases with Kid Robot, Upper Deck, Minigods, Unruly Industries and Super Rad Toys.

Popular myth maintains that Chemdawg and Hindu Kush parented OG Kush, passing on the distinct “kush” bud structure we see in many strains today. However, we can’t be sure because OG Kush first came from bag seed in the early 90s. The earliest propagators (now known as Imperial Genetics) are said to have brought the seeds out of Florida to Colorado and southern California, where it now flourishes. There are many different phenotypes of OG Kush, some of which include Tahoe OG, SFV OG, and Alpha OG.
